ABOUT US
The Parks Science and Astronomy Center is a project of Parks Optical Company, known around the globe since 1954 as a maker of fine, precision telescopes for the student, home enthusiast, or professional observatory and Lumicon, the pioneers, the innovators and the leader in the development and manufacturing of observational and photographic filters and accessories for astronomy, telescopes and related astro equipment.
Together, these iconic organizations decided that the communities in Simi Valley needed a state-of-the art science and astronomy learning center to inspire, excite, and motivate people of all ages, especially youth, to learn about the natural world and the universe above. With the help and support of local businesses, we are committed to providing world class educational and fun opportunities that make the incredible world of science and astronomy accessible to all.
